The Golden Rule - Do we know what that is anymore?
How should you treat other people? God has the answer to that question. God wants you to treat other people exactly like you want to be treated: with kindness, respect, and courtesy. When you do, you'll make your family and friends happy. . .and that's precisely what your Heavenly Father wants.
So if you're wondering how to treat someone else, follow the Golden Rule: treat other people like you want them to treat you. When you do, you'll be obeying your Father in heaven and you'll be making other folks happy at the same time.
I know that sometimes it's hard to treat our family with that respect, or even others that aren't "the same" as we are or "believe" like we do, but we should treat others with the love of God, no matter the case.
Here are a few quotes from some people;
It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no one can sincerely try to help another without helping herself - - - - Barbara Johnson
The golden Rule starts at home, but it should never stop there. - - - - Marie T. Freeman
See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all 1 Thessalonians 5:15
Therefore, whatever you want others to do for you, do also the same for them - this is the Law and the Prophets Matthew 7:12
Let us no grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart
Galatians 6:9
If you really carry out the royal law prescribed in Scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you are doing well. James 2:8
FAITH BUILDER:
How would you feel? When you're trying to decide how to treat another person, ask yourself this question: "How would I feel if somebody treat me that way?" Then, treat the other person the way that you would want to be treated.
